Downtown Tavistock Sidewalk Days

The sun shone brightly as South Easthope Mutual staff participated in the Tavistock Sidewalk Day on June 3. The event was held in conjunction with the town’s annual World Crokinole Championship and town wide garage sales.

We had several activities going on for the public to participate in including a fire safety house operated by Hickson and Tavistock volunteer firefighters. ‘Sparky the Fire Dog’ even made an appearance! South Easthope staff interacted with young and old as they came to play crokinole, washer toss, Plinko and a spin-the-wheel game to win South Easthope prizes. Crime Stoppers attended and served popcorn to visitors. Our showroom with the 1926 Ford Model T firetruck was open to the public as well to tour.

We want to say a special thank you to the members of the Hickson and Tavistock fire departments that helped out for the day promoting fire safety. They know more than anyone the need to educate people on fire safety.

We hope everyone that visited South Easthope Mutual and Tavistock had a fantastic day!
